Decatur, Texas ABBI Classic

We are happy to announce that More Bucks won the Decatur, TX event this past weekend with a score of 90.5, taking home $7421.30 in winnings.

Tom Peterson proudly shows off his new championship buckleMore Bucks was purchased at the Bucks By Design MEGA-Genetics sale in 2006 for $40,000 by Jerry Nelson. We represented Jerry and sold a competition interest in the bull for 2007-2009. We offered 25% interest for $25,000 per interest. Tom Peterson, Marie Mansour and Irinia Langhams all purchased interest in the bull and the journey has been a blast. The Jaynes Gang has maintained and trained this bull since he was a yearling. More Bucks finished 2nd at The ABBI Classic Finals in 2007 and qualified as a three year old to the ABBI Classic Finals. He was also used during the 6th round of the PBR finals in 2008 and was marked the highest bull by the PBR judges. More Bucks has won money at every event he has been to this year and is now the front runner to win $250,000 (some say it will pay $300,000) this year at the ABBI Classic Finals in Las Vegas.

At Decatur, the champion bull received a nice belt buckle, and since it happens to be Tom Peterson’s home town (Tom is a 25% investor), we felt it was only fitting that he get the buckle. (photo at right of Tom Peterson with his belt buckle).

Part of the agreement was that at the end of 2009 when his competition years were over, and it was time for him to be a PBR bucking bull star, we would sell a semen syndication on this bull which we will be selling soon. The way it will work is we will sell 10 shares into the semen syndication and those 10 shares will each receive 10 straws of semen each year(starting 2010) for the remainder of his life. This will be the only semen sold for the remainder of his life.
